Overview:
The Quality Controller Intern will be based on the production floor and will assist in ensuring
that products meet the required quality standards through regular online (in-process) and final
product inspections. This internship offers hands-on experience in practical quality control
within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
In-Process (Online) Quality Inspection
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections during production to ensure ongoing
compliance with product specifications.
• Monitor critical control points and escalate any deviations or defects immediately.
• Verify that operators are following standard operating procedures and quality checks.
Final Product Inspection
• Inspect finished goods for defects in appearance, function, or packaging before release.
• Ensure final products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Record inspection results accurately and clearly.
Documentation & Reporting
• Complete quality checklists and non-conformance reports.
• Assist with updating production quality logs and inspection records.
• Report quality trends, recurring defects, or process issues to the QA Supervisor.
Support to the QA and Production Teams
• Assist in identifying root causes of defects and suggest corrective actions.
• Participate in basic quality investigations and process audits.
• Support rework activities and product quarantine processes where required.

Not be participating in another internship,
learnership, or apprenticeship
Not have previously benefited from the YES Programme for more than 8 months
• Minimum requirement is Matric,
Manufacturing, or related field.
• Basic understanding of quality control techniques and measurement tools.
• Good observation and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on the production floor in a hands-on role.
• Able to work shifts if required by the plant schedule.
