Maintenance

To ensure uptime of all maintenance significant items through carrying out planned and corrective maintenance within the health and safety perimeters.

Preventative

- Ensure always correct amount of grinder blades are available in store.

- Ensure enough mixer, loader parts are available in store. 

- Perform preventative maintenance as per request either per job card or verbally.

- Do daily checks as per schedules and requirements

- Do monthly calibration of mixers

- Do monthly leak tester calibrations.

General

- Any reasonable task delegated by maintenance manager.

- To attend to all mechanical breakdowns as per request either per job card or verbally

- Perform standby duty 

- Work overtime as and when required. Pre- approval must be given by manager.

- Complete all breakdowns before leaving for home.

- Start and stop of compressors, dryers and chillers with shutdown and start-up of plant.

- Maintain all mixers in good working order

- Maintain all material loaders in good working order

- Maintain all grinder systems in good working order

- Change cylinders on blender system

- Operate blender system.

- Setup of leak testers.

Admin

- Complete all jobs cards in a detailed and accurate manner as per procedure.

- Do stock takes on mechanical components.

- Do stock takes on mixer and loader parts.

- Complete checklists in a detailed and accurate manner as per procedure.

Safety

- Immediately inform manager about any defective piece of equipment.

- Perform Health and Safety inspections

- Perform all lock out procedures where necessary.

- Adhere to all safety measures and wear correct PPE.

- To ensure that all the equipment is safe after jobs are completed.

- Follow good housekeeping practices in factory and workshop to ISO 14000 standard.

- Maintain Health and safety standards within the plant

Must have a technical qualification.

Must be BBBEE Aligned

Be between the ages of 18–34

Be currently unemployed

Not be a full-time student

Not be participating in another internship, learnership, or apprenticeship

Not have previously benefited from the YES Programme for more than 8 months

- Good team player.

- Good housekeeping

- Basic gearbox repairs

- Valid driver’s licences.

- Valid forklift driving licence.

- Drilling and tapping of threaded holes.

- Analytical capabilities

- Manufacturing of structures

- Report writing

- Stock counting

- Basic arc welding skills

- Ability to start production machine after breakdown.
