Mechanical Process Engineering Assistant

The Mechanical Process Engineering Assistant will support the Engineering and Maintenance Department by assisting with process improvement initiatives, equipment performance analysis, maintenance projects, production efficiency activities, and continuous improvement programmes within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include supporting process improvement projects, analysing production data, assisting with engineering investigations, monitoring equipment performance, supporting preventative maintenance activities, generating KPI reports, and contributing to Lean Manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.

Diploma or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering


Advantageous

Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical Engineering)

Exposure to Manufacturing Operations


Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to work in a manufacturing and production environment

Exposure to AutoCAD, SAP, Lean Manufacturing, Power BI, and technical drawing interpretation will be advantageous

Driver’s licence and own transport will be advantageous.

YES requirements: 
Must be between the ages of 18 - 35
Don't do ETI
Must meet BBBEE Alignment
Must not be a full-time student 
Must have not participated in the YES program for more than 8 months 
Must reside in Port Elizabeth
