The Quality Engineering Intern will support the Quality Department by assisting with quality assurance activities, problem-solving initiatives, process audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement projects within an automotive manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include supporting quality inspections, participating in root cause investigations, analysing quality data and trends, generating KPI reports, assisting with IATF and ISO compliance activities, and contributing to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Diploma in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

 

Advantageous

·       Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Industrial Engineering)

·       Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Mechanical Engineering)

·       Advanced Diploma in Industrial Engineering

·       Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

 

Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Basic data analysis and problem-solving abilities

Strong analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and spend time on the production floor

Exposure to quality tools, Root Cause Analysis, SPC, PFMEA, Power BI, SAP, and Lean Manufacturing will be advantageous

Driver’s licence and own transport will be advantageous.


Yes Requirements: 

Must be between ages 18 - 35

Must meet the BBBEE alignment

Must not be a full-time student 

Must have not participated in the YES program for more than 8 months

Must reside in Port Elizabeth
