General Worker (MATSA)

Housekeeping

Closing Date: 18 August 2025

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the yard and surrounding areas

• Sweep, wash, and clean external walkways, entrances, and driveways

• Collect and dispose of rubble, waste, and litter from around the premises

• Perform minor gardening tasks, including trimming, watering, and controlling overgrown vegetation

• Assist with minor maintenance duties on the building and grounds as needed

• Ensure all external areas always remain tidy and presentable

• Support the facilities or maintenance team with manual labour when required (e.g., moving items, deliveries, loading/unloading)

• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly

• Follow all health and safety regulations during work activities

Must be BBE Aligned 

Must be between 18-29

Must be currently unemployed

Must not be a full-time student

Must not be a part of an internship, learnership or apprenticeship

Must not have previously benefitted from the YES Programme for longer than 8 months

Previous experience in a similar role (general worker, maintenance, or cleaner) is advantageous

Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team

Strong work ethic and positive attitude
