Small Steel Drum Operator

Assist in setting up and operating machinery to manufacture small steel drums according to production specifications.

Learn to monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency.

Assist in inspecting finished drums for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.

Support in maintaining production equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

Learn and follow safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.

Must have a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.

Strong interest in manufacturing processes and machinery operation.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.

Basic understanding of production machinery and processes is advantageous.

Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift

Must be BBE Aligned 

Must be between 18-29

Must be currently unemployed

Must not be a full-time student

Must not be a part of an internship, learnership or apprenticeship

Must not have previously benefitted from the YES Programme for longer than 8 months
